Who this park is for
The Big Sur leg of the trip. This is the park you plan a Highway 1 journey around, not a San Francisco base.
Good to know before you book
- The campground reopened to overnight stays in April 2026 after Highway 1 landslide closures. Reserve through ReserveCalifornia.com or 800-444-7275.
- The 24-foot RV limit is strictly enforced and the sites are small. Big rigs should not attempt it.
- Day-use parking inside the park is extremely limited, so camping is the reliable way in.
- Check Highway 1 conditions before you go; slides can close sections with little notice.
